Wedding Countdown: Your 8-week checklist

About two-months before your wedding sh** starts to get REAL. It’s likely you’ve got quite a hefty to-do list and are feeling ALL the emotions, especially with a Panny-D thrown in. To help you stay organised and chilled AF, we've created the 8-week checklist so you don't miss a beat.

Final detailed call with venue/planner

It’s important to chat through the details, the step-by-step timeline of the day to ensure everything’s been considered and that your team has the info they need to brief your suppliers.

If you’re planning your wedding yourself – brief your suppliers. Share your timeline, layout and any other briefing details with your dream team.

Create a worry window

What are the things that are causing you to worry? Can you do anything about them? If the answer is yes, take action to eliminate your worries and allow yourself to fully enjoy and let go in the lead-up to your wedding and most importantly on the day.

An example might be: is the right song going to play when I walk down the aisle? If it’s a musician and you’ve briefed them and they’ve confirmed, it’s time to trust them. If you’re using a phone and someone is pressing play, is that song downloaded onto the phone, phone fully charged and said person suitably briefed?

Write a packing list

If you haven’t already, start jotting down the things you think of that need to get to Italy with you! When you come to pack you’ll know that you’ve considered everything and it’s a simple ticking exercise.

Update your wedding website

Update your wedding website with clear event schedules, precise timings, specific transport pick-up times and any other details that will help your guests have a smooth experience.

Check in with your photographer/videographer

Final chat with your photographer/videographer and complete the briefing document they will likely have sent you.

Book your PCR tests

Book and pay for all necessary PCR tests that you will need before departure and for your return. For example, if you are traveling to Italy from the UK you currently need to complete a PCR test three days before departure as well as on days two and eight once you have returned. Make sure you book all of the tests you need before traveling so this is all organised.

The dress

Have your final dress fitting and arrange a time for collection!

The Suit

Make sure you are happy with any alterations and take that baby home.

This checklist is just a small part of the Italian Wedding Tracker, the spreadsheet of all spreadsheets built for you and used by real-life wedding planners! It covers everything you need to do to plan an Italian wedding from the moment the idea forms, right through to the day itself. It also contains a budget, guest-list tracker and tools to help you choose suppliers, track your decisions and even how to create a table plan, with table sizes and all! The detail is unreal.

Lauren says,

“ The Italian Wedding Tracker saved us countless hours in planning. It not only tracked our wedding, it guided us through the whole process and gave us tips and tricks along the way. Without using this tool we’d definitely have made some mistakes. It’s the type of thing you don’t know you really need until it’s too late. If you buy one thing for your wedding, make it this!”
