Olly + Lisa’s golden Tuscan wedding at Villa Il Pozzo

Wedding photographer The Curries at Villa Il Pozzo for a wedding, Tuscany

Get ready to fall in love with Lisa and Olly and their classic golden Tuscan wedding. This is a wedding which will stand the test of time, ever-effortless - with a supplier lineup such as this, we are not surprised! But it is the couple who make the wedding and it just so happens that this pair are pretty bloody wonderful!

Lisa’s shares her advice as a bride. “Don’t overthink the little things. You’ll be so happy on the day you really won’t be worrying about any of them. If it’s out of your hands, get it out of your head – take it from someone who checked the weather 10+ times a day! There’s no point worrying about things you can’t control, just relax and enjoy the pre-wedding build up. Finally, invest in a good planner. Both our jobs involve events so we understand the hard work that goes into them, and for that reason we couldn’t have imagined trying to do it ourselves. Your wedding planner’s expertise and supplier relationships will mean you can not only achieve your dream wedding but also totally relax and enjoy every second of it.”

Married at magnificent Villa Il Pozzo, the weather cast challenges in the form of pre-wedding storms but Italy came through delivering a faultless day. It’s the blended modern touches with classic seasonal picks which makes such a truly authentic Italian wedding. Exceptional florist, Giorgia Carolini is a master of seasonal flowers; yet again nailing the line between playful and romantic.

“Modern. Young. Seasonal. Detailed. Spontaneous”

Why Italy?

“Being from different places, we wanted to explore the idea of getting married somewhere neutral. After a bit of research online and on Instagram we quickly decided that Italy would be our dream choice. It felt perfect for us as we both love Italian food, wine and culture. The weather also played a huge part in the decision! “ Lisa - bride

Stand out moment?

“Aside from the ceremony itself, walking to the dinner table to see all our guests swinging their napkins and cheering us was very special. The antipasti table / aperitivo hour was also incredible - we were so glad we did that. That part of the day felt so happy and relaxed – enjoying that ‘just married’ high, surrounded by our friends and family, eating amazing food and taking in the gorgeous views.” Lisa - bride

Stand out supplier and why?

“Our wedding would have been impossible without Wiskow & White. We were drawn to them because of their incredible eye for styling, but they are so much more than that. Lucy worked with us closely to understand what our dream wedding was and brought it to life in every way. The list of suppliers she connected us with was just perfect. And we were able to officially get married at our venue in front of the most amazing view, which was a dream. Without Lucy and Danielle guiding us through that documentation / legal process we would have really struggled!

Aside from Wiskow & White, our wedding would not have been the same without Giorgia Carolini our florist. Lucy connected us with Giorgia and I’m so glad we took her advice on this – the flowers were absolutely stunning and better than anything my wildest Pinterest dreams could have imagined!”

“Match seasonal with style and trust your supplier.”

“Honestly, if we could do it all over again, we wouldn’t want to change a single minute of it.“

What element of the wedding would you have done differently?

“Nothing comes to mind! If we were doing it all again, we would keep everything. However, knowing what I know now I would have worried less about the minor details. On the day itself you really aren’t thinking about the small stuff, like whether you decided on the right font for the menus. But that’s easier said than done!” Lisa - bride
