Justine + Jeff’s intimate Amalfi Coast wedding-weekend

Choosing to marry in Italy was an easy decision for American couple Justine & Jeff. With Justine’s Italian roots and their shared love for the culture and cuisine, they knew leaving Texas for Italy was the perfect choice for the intimate wedding they envisioned.
From their authentic Italian welcome pizza party at a restaurant in Ravello to their breathtaking wedding day at Villa Vettica, they gave their guests a weekend filled with fun and celebration, all while sharing their love for Justine’s Italian heritage.
The Welcome Event
“Our welcome pizza party in Ravello was one of the many highlights of our weekend. The excitement of the wedding day ahead only added to the joy of celebrating with our friends and family, all while enjoying breathtaking views of the Amalfi Coast.”
Why Italy
“We knew we wanted a smaller wedding, the initial idea was to elope. We both love Italian culture and felt it was the perfect place. This is a special place for my wife’s parents as they’re Italian, and we wanted to share that experience with my parents along with our closest friends. ”
The Engagement
“I proposed at Arthur Avenue in the Bronx— a place that holds a special meaning for both of us, especially for Justine’s family, as it’s where her great-grandparents settled when they immigrated to the U.S. from Italy. Arthur Avenue is filled with authentic Italian cuisine and produce—we visit every year during the holidays so it felt like the perfect, low-key spot to propose without raising any suspicion. I proposed in the church where her great-grandparents were married in 1919, as she lit a candle. She was completely caught off guard.”
The Venue
“We ended up choosing Villa Vettica as we wanted to be right on the water and the villa was a nice staycation to house our families and closest friends as it slept 18 of us. It took a lot of stress off of us not having to commute to a venue as the Amalfi coast can be difficult to navigate, plus the villa and all of its amenities were simply breathtaking. Our photographer also happened to get married there the year prior- so we discovered it through her!”
Stand Out Supplier
“Ravello Wedding Flowers— Isabelle and her team made our floral vision come to life and we were blown away. ”
Stand Out Moment
“Getting married in a lemon grove surrounded by loved ones felt like a dream come true. Each part of our evening took place in different parts of the villa, so each transition felt like a surprise. It’s hard to choose just one standout moment— it was all unforgettable.”
The Style
“Justine & Jeff embraced the vibrancy of The Amalfi Coast with bright and happy florals, custom made table cloths pulling in yellow as a nod to the Amalfi lemons, and overall let the iconic view of the coast shine through.”

Stand Out Moment
“One of my favourite moments was watching everyone dine on the top patio of Villa Vettica as the sun went down. To have all of their closest friends and family gathered and celebrating in such a stunning spot was extremely special!”

Trust The Process
“If you wish to have a destination wedding in Italy, trust your planners and the process. Nothing moved as quickly as we anticipated during planning, the wedding culture is much more laid back— accepting and respecting that will make your planning much easier.”
