Ally + Jack’s Tuscan wedding at San Galgano Abbey

Our first ever real wedding feature on La Lista...and we are kicking things off in style! Not only did Ally + Jack hold their ceremony at the beautiful Abbey of San Galgano (I mean, wow) - their roman banquet-style table setting is really something to behold. Beautiful brass candelabras, dusky pink candles and warm festoon lighting created the intimate, relaxed and fun atmosphere that Ally and Jack wanted. And with some last-minute schedule changes, they even managed to side-step some pretty ominous looking rain!

Ally + Jack’s beautiful day was captured by La Lista member and all-round epic photographer Colin Ross.

“Being able to get married in the Abbey of San Galgano was the biggest privilege and 'pinch me' moment. It is an epic ruin which was the most romantic place to say our vows, and was a really exciting place for our guests to start the day with us.”

“The standout moment of the day for me was Ally's entrance. It was calm and elegant and somehow in that huge abbey, it felt so intimate. You could feel the warm swell of guests in awe.”

“The setting along our dinner table was stunning. It was a mixture of antique brass details including lots of different height candelabras, as well as lots of different florals and fruits in rich berry colours, cascading along the table. The overall effect blew us away and is still the most beautiful thing I've ever seen!”

“We spent a really long time putting together playlists for different parts of the wedding; we had a shared playlist and kept adding to it over the course of a year. We also came up with a bit of a surprise for our first dance, which was the same song (Dancing in the Moonlight) by two different artists. The song went from the acoustic version to the main version and our friends let off confetti cannons when the tempo raised and that really got the party started!”

Ally + Jack on the best money they spent - “It’s really hard to say, but definitely the Abbey as a venue, the flowers and decor, and the DJ! Oh and the confetti cannons!”

Ally + Jack on their stand out supplier - “Omero our DJ - he was so much fun and really knew how to get the party started.”
