How would you describe the vibe on the day?

“Our celebrations were spread over three days – a pizza party, the wedding day itself, and a pool party. We wanted all three days to feel like a really extravagant house party that we were hosting. However, we also wanted the wedding day to have enough formality to make it stand out as the main event. We hope that the vibe across all three days was elegant, relaxed and (most importantly) a lot of fun.” Talia & Rafi

How did you approach your wedding planning to make sure the day was what you wanted and felt personal to you?

“It's easy to get caught up in the tiny details and find yourself creeping over your budget. We knew from the start that our main priorities were guest experience and keeping things elegant and unfussy - we just kept coming back to those two principles to make sure our plans still reflected what we initially set out to accomplish. Of course, our brilliant planners (Wiskow & White) helped to keep us on track and gave us invaluable advice on the big decisions.” Talia & Rafi

Photographers perspective - Stand out Moment

“The gentle and emotional first look - a sweet moment shared privately by the couple before being joined by their immediate families (who were eagerly waiting to congratulate the couple).

The panoramic views of the Tuscan countryside from the venue were just incredible, especially during sunset!” Taylor-Hughes Photography

Planner’s perspective

“Talia & Rafi’s wedding was such a pleasure to plan. The fusion of their families and cultures presented a unique opportunity to combine traditions, customs and inject special details into the events.

Watching Talia & Rafi enjoy the wedding, that they’d so carefully thought about and planned for their guests to enjoy was a highlight of the summer” Lucy White - Wiskow & White

What was the biggest challenge when planning your wedding?

“Budget! It's a difficult task to balance your vision with your budget, but try to be tough on yourselves and not give in to spending more money than you are comfortable with. We found there were lots of clever ways to keep costs down whilst still creating the wedding we envisaged  – the key is to be really clear about the things that you care most about. For us, it was all about having a great time with our friends and family, with good food and in a beautiful setting. This allowed us to cut certain elements that ultimately wouldn't add to those things in a material way.” Talia & Rafi

What was the standout moment of the day for you?

“We had a few minutes just the two of us between the ceremony and making our entrance at dinner. We snuck up to our room to have a moment of quiet and watch our guests take their seats from the window. It was so magical to see their reactions and take a moment to soak it all in, just the two of us. It was a very special moment of calm amongst the madness of the day! I think our biggest piece of advice would be to try and scatter a few of these private moments throughout the day, just the two of you. It will allow you to pause and really take it all in.” Talia & Rafi

Best money spent?

“Planners (Wiskow & White), photographers (Taylor-Hughes) and videographer (Soby Films) - our dream team! We can't thank them (or, indeed, recommend them) enough! They are the ultimate professionals – creative, empathetic and incredibly talented. They also all have the rare skill of making you feel instantly comfortable and relaxed, which is particularly important when the nerves inevitably hit on your big day! We genuinely can't imagine doing it without them.” Talia & Rafi

Advice for other couples planning an Italian wedding?

“100% do it. The views, the food, the people - we couldn't recommend it enough. They are memories that will stay with us forever.”
