Planning tips

“Planning an overseas wedding (from the UK) was the most challenging part for two very hands on and detail-oriented people. For starters, I made several moodboards and hand-picked all of my vendors, even though I also paid for a wedding coordinator. I did a TON of research on the vendors and venue and organized a couple of visits onsite for things like the menu tasting, venue walk-through with the florist and lighting vendor. All of these things made me feel more at ease and helped me picture how everything would eventually come together.” - Steph, bride

Personal touches

“Everything from the menu, to the drinks, the music and caesar bar the next day felt like it was true to who we are as a couple, and our guests said that the authenticity of it all really shone through.” Steph - bride

Favourite styling detail

“The venue that we chose and the Tuscan landscape were the main sources of inspiration for our dream weekend. We knew how stunning the backdrop was already, and wanted to make sure that we complemented the natural style vs. competed with it. We didn't go overboard with the flowers and chose a lot of greenery (i.e. the garland on the table), and accented the bar, menus and rehearsal dinner table with lemons and olive branches.” Steph - bride

Vibe on the day

“The vibe was completely effortless and ethereal, which is exactly what we wanted. Everything felt really easy (just like a day in the Italian countryside should), and I think we succeeded in transporting guests to a very magical place.” Steph - bride

Best money spent

“I'm SO glad that we splurged on our photographer because I've never been more in love with the photos from the weekend. I'm also happy we decided to go with a "wow" factor for our reception table. We went all out with the lights and table decor; seeing our guest's reactions to the table was a moment that I'll never forget.” Steph - bride

On the day hiccups

“We were definitely a bit rushed on the morning of the wedding which was stressful -- start early!! My husband and I were meant to tell each other our vows during the first look but we were both too emotional. We saved our vows for the mini moon, which extended the moment for us and ended up being the right call overall.” Steph - bride

Details, details, details

“The bows on my dress were another one of my favourite styling details. They were an additional point of interest for the dress and photographed so beautifully.” Steph - bride
