After a series of delays, Sammie + Phil celebrated their wedding surrounded by 40 of their friends and family at the stunning Villa Lena. The couple created a beautiful atmosphere of togetherness for guests, so all could experience the joy and moments of a Tuscan wedding at this hidden gem just outside of Palaia.
Supported by some epic suppliers, including their videographer and photographer, not even a threat of rain would dampen the spirits of this long-awaited celebration.

How would you describe the vibe on the day?
“Our vision for the wedding was to find a venue where friends and family could stay together over a long weekend to party, relax & rejuvenate in the natural surroundings.”
Biggest wedding win?
“Planning, finding a venue that could accommodate all our guest in one place. For the wedding day: finding out Sam, our photographer and Ben our videographer were available for our date!”

Stand out moment
“After the ceremony, Phil and I went into Villa Lena whilst the guest walked from the garden to the front for the confetti throwing. That moment where it was the two of us together, we had the biggest smiles on our faces as it had finally sunk in that we were finally there with our friends and family celebrating.”
Biggest challenge when planning your wedding
“We were due to be married in 2020 but due to the pandemic, we couldn’t go ahead until 2021. We rearranged the wedding three times (third time lucky!), so the biggest challenge was checking out guests could make the new date (multiple times) as well as all our suppliers some of which were based in the UK and others in Italy.”

“We shared our colour theme with our guests well ahead of time as we wanted everything to be harmonious and also did not want anyone to clash or blend in with the gorgeous prominent Villa Lena.”

“We can't pick one, it has to be Sam and Ben. It started to rain a few hours from the ceremony and we were discussing moving the wedding inside. However, that's not how we imagined it, we always wanted it to be outdoors. They were absolute legends, their extra support, decisiveness and constant weather checks really helped us have the wedding we had always wanted. In fact, our guests had to wear sunglasses as the sun came out and was so bright after pushing back the time by and hour.”
