Katerina + Andrew’s intimate Fairytale Castle wedding in Piedmont

Photography: Lenny Pellico

Katerina and Andrew’s love story was built around their adoration for Italy, so where better to celebrate their marriage than in a real life fairytale castle in Piedmont! Along with their wedding planner Angela Mugnai, they created a classical, romantic wedding and brought their dreams to life! With a close circle of friends and family they shared this sensational celebration; we love how the intimacy allowed them to make special toasts to their guests about their love for Italy and each other.

“We hope our love and our wedding inspires you to go out and do things that make you happy, because that’s what we did and because of that we ended up celebrating our love at a beautiful castle in Italy.” Katerina - bride

Describe the vibe of the day

“The vibe was classical and romantic, like a fairytale wedding. We told our guests and planner that we wanted it to be the most lux dinner party anyone has ever been to, and that’s exactly the vibe we had.” Katerina - bride

Biggest win

“Seeing it come all together. Every single detail was meticulously planned and looked incredible. The florals by Rollo Skinner were just stunning, and seeing the table all set up for dinner with roses and candle light brought me to tears. Finding a wedding planner you truly trust and just letting them have some freedom to work with the space is key.” Katerina - bride

Biggest Challenge

“The biggest challenge was the distance. We got legally married in Italy, as I am an Italian citizen but Andrew is not. So we had to sort out all of the legal details from afar, and there was a lot of research, phone calls and emails involved. We also didn’t get to do any of the fun things, like cake tastings or catering samples, and it led to us having a different menu than we would have possibly picked otherwise.” Katerina - bride

Favourite Styling Detail

“The entire dining table was absolutely stunning. The menu and name cards were a surprising detail we didn’t even expect, as we elected for some of the details of the day to be a surprise. Watching the candles burn down as the day turned to sunset and as our friends and family ate and rejoiced with us was just so beautiful and perfect.” Katerina - bride

Favourite part of the day

“We were waiting to get access to get access to a certain part of the castle, to get some couples shots on the terrace during sunset, while our guests were sitting down for dinner. While we were waiting, we were watching our guests from afar, chatting and drinking by candlelight at a beautiful table. It was so lovely to see all of our favourite people together, in our favourite place, on our favourite day.” Katerina - bride

Best money spent

“The best money we spent was on our planner, Angela - she is the artist who brought everything together. Without her, the wedding wouldn’t have been possible. She saved us from so much stress.” Katerina - bride
