The Dating

“We first met eighteen and a half years ago while playing golf at the same golf & country club near Zürich. Initially, we were just friends within the same circle, but over time, a deeper connection grew. Ten years later, we became a couple.”

The Engagement

“Florian proposed during a weekend getaway to the Allgäu in Germany. We went for a short walk to a picturesque hill where he had prepared a cozy picnic with cheese fondue, fresh bread, and white wine. It was a simple yet incredibly special moment for us. As we admired the view, he got down on one knee and proposed, presenting the most stunning ring – a design he had created himself with the jeweller. We spent the rest of the day savouring the moment together. This is something I would recommend to other couples: keep it a secret as long as possible and, whenever possible, share the news in person. It makes the moment even more memorable and personal.”

“This jewel of the location set the tone for a fresh and colourful celebration, exuding warmth without being overpowering.” - Max, Photographer

Stand out moment

“The ceremony was unforgettable, with a close friend officiating. The speech was heartfelt and deeply personal – a true highlight. Another standout moment was seeing all our loved ones gathered together, sharing this incredible weekend with us. It was the most meaningful gift we could have received.”

“The blend of joy, celebration, and the genuine happiness radiating from everyone created a truly magical vibe. Each smile, laugh and shared moment contributed to a tapestry of unforgettable memories”- Max, Photographer

The Budget

“We did go slightly over our budget, but it was worth every penny. The wedding was such a wonderful celebration and truly perfect for us. By focusing on what mattered most – the venue, food, and photography (including videography) – we ensured the day reflected our vision while scaling back on less critical elements to keep things balanced.”

Why Italy?

“We always knew that if we got married, it wouldn’t be in Switzerland. Tuscany was the perfect choice for its proximity, breathtaking landscapes, incredible food, wonderful wine, and the opportunity to host an unforgettable weekend with our family and friends.”

“What truly made this wedding authentic was how the couple were not just the hosts of honour, but the genuine guests of honour. The entire celebration was centered around their joy and love. It was beautiful to see the couple fully immerse themselves in their big day, enjoying every moment. Their happiness and authenticity radiated through every photograph, making the experience deeply special and memorable for all involved.” - Max, Photographer

The Venue

“After a long search, we found Villa Lena in Tuscany. Its rustic charm, stunning views, and versatility to host multiple events over the weekend made it the perfect choice. Plus, the sage green napkins fit beautifully with our wedding colours!”

Top piece of advice?

“Savour every moment and stay true to yourselves. Move through the day as consciously as possible, staying present in the here and now. Laugh, love, and let the day shine brightly – it will pass faster than you think.”

“As a wedding photographer I often witness the significant difference in experiences between couples who have built a strong rapport with their vendors or haven’t. Navigating the "Expectations vs. Reality" gap can be challenging, making it crucial to have a planner who matches your style and expectations.” - Max, Photographer
