Cecilia + Steffen’s late-summer wedding in Tuscany

Autumnal colours led the styling for the Tuscan wedding of Norwegian couple Cecilia and Steffen at Villa Le Bolli. For their September wedding, the couple managed to remain within their initial budget of 20,000 EUR, with the help of their expert planner Valentina, from LaLindi. “I really recommend having a wedding planner. Valentina was fantastic and that was what made our day beyond perfect.”
Celebrating with their daughter and son, Cecilia and Steffen created an effortless atmosphere where their guests could enjoy modern twists complimenting a true Italian wedding experience. Cecilia recognised early on how demanding guest management can be - and gives us her tips on how to avoid the stress.

The Dating
“We went to the same secondary school for 3 years and met at a party with mutual friends. After this we started dating. I had just turned 18 and Steffen was almost 20. After a short period of dating, we decided to be together and have been together since 06.02.2012.”
The Engagement
“Steffen got down on his knees in the kitchen with our 2-year-old daughter. We got engaged on 31.12.21 It was a very sweet thing, nothing big, just the way we wanted it to be - intimate and just a bit romantic.”
Why Italy
“Italy has always been my big dream. The country, the food, the idyllic small towns... The people. Everything. And when I shared my dreams with Steffen, he started to share the same dream. He was quite agreeable early on in the process.”
Did anything go wrong?
“We had the best wedding planner in the world, so nothing really went wrong!”
“I was sent several venue options from Valentina (our planner from LaLindi) and was supposed to rank them from 1-4. Villa Le Bolli stood out with its lovely house, the beautiful area, and nice photos from previous weddings there. And oh my god (!), the venue was even more beautiful than we ever could imagine.”
Stand out moment
“When I walk down to the ceremony towards Steffen, with all my friends and family around us in the most beautiful surroundings to a beautiful song. It was magical.”
Top piece of planning advice
“Something I quickly discovered was how demanding guest management can be. The most stressful part of the whole planning was all the questions from the guests. My tip is not to take on too much responsibility for the guests' problems. Be helpful with where they can look for information themselves, rather than doing it for them and you will probably avoid a lot of stress. Also, the day goes by SO fast, try to just be in the moment and enjoy it. I really recommend having a wedding planner it was what made our day beyond perfect.”
The Styling
“Everything Valentina styled that day was incredible…but I have to say the table decorations were the best part for me! With vegetables, flowers, fruit and candles. It was fantastic!”

“How can I choose one? EVERYONE was absolutely amazing. Our photographer, an absolutely beautiful lady who has taken the most beautiful pictures. Our wedding planner who made our wedding a dream from another world.. The florist, what an artist! Our table, the tree at the wedding, our bouquets! It tears me up just thinking about it all. And I can't praise the catering enough. I don't think I can pick just one. But Valentina was the one who found all the suppliers/vendors, and she was involved in every part of the wedding - so Valentina was the best choice we made!”
