Couple’s photoshoot

Don’t schedule the couple's photoshoot necessarily on the wedding day itself. The guests travel all the way to Italy to enjoy the time with you. You can plan a photoshoot in advance or during the honeymoon. We did this 7 months before our wedding in Rome 👌🏻🇮🇹 - L

Book a wedding planner

Use a wedding planner if you’re not from Italy!!! The extra money is worth it for safety. We learned the hard way! We withdraw from our venue as we no longer had trust in them and are currently trying to get our money back, but it's incredibly difficult as we didn’t have a planner. - Alice

Welcome party

Have a welcome party on the eve of your wedding if it is within your budget. We got to speak to all our guests then, and managed to enjoy ourselves without feeling obliged to speak to everyone again during the wedding itself. - Julia

Cheaper isn’t always better

One thing we learnt the hard way - don’t “cheap out” on wedding planners and florists. We went for options which were a thousand or two thousand euros cheaper as we preferred spending our money on other suppliers, but we were very disappointed with their service in the end. - Julia

Managing vendors

You can never be too detailed when it comes down to what you expect from your vendors. - Valerie

Don’t forget to eat!

Ask your planner/caterer to save you each a plate from dinner and leave in your room for after the party! We were too busy/stressed to eat and we were SO hungry when we got back to our room after. - Jessica

Moments together

Plan moments alone together as a couple during your day. We loved stepping away at different parts of our wedding just to look at everyone and take it all in. Spending these few moments as a couple as we saw our wedding vision come into reality! - Jeryl

Do YOU

You don’t have to follow all the trends and add tons of things for you to do on your wedding day. You want to have time and enjoy the party too! - Patricia
