Roman-feast inspired wedding table created by an all-Tuscan team

A true Tuscan team came together to create something special and celebrate the authentic style and produce of their beautiful region. We absolutely love the rich earthy colours, they ooze Italian warmth and comfort.

Everything used to create this look was seasonal, organic and sourced from local suppliers. Often with weddings you may have suppliers travelling quite far, using out of season and out of region produce for both food and flowers. This shoot just goes to show that you don’t always need to look too far afield to create a super stylish and authentic look. Getting creative with what’s around you can produce incredible results.

The table was set up in one of the vineyards of Tuscan farmhouse venue Guardastelle, with wine on the table from the grapes grown right there in that very spot!

The table itself used fully reusable elements including the linen, glassware and locally produced terracotta crockery, supplied by Dolci Tradizioni Toscane – who cater for weddings, pizzas parties, BBQs and brunches across the region. They really are the masters at making simple local food exceptional (trust us, we’ve tried it!

To decorate the tables, the team used local produce in the form of vegetables from the local market and locally sourced flowers from florist L’Oasi. Abundant, over flowing, almost Roman feast-eqsue!

You can almost taste how fresh that veg is, you can feel the warmth coming right out from the table, enhanced by a few touches of bright, contrasting flowers. A novel floral chandelier was created in the centre of the table to perfectly blend in with the setting by day and come to life at night.

Recycling old materials and using local suppliers and local goods, really keeps the costs low and I’m sure you’ll agree has an even more authentic feel. Great for your bank balance and for the planet!

Imagine it now…sitting down to dinner, the warm glow of the Tuscan sunset on your skin, ready to tuck into a delicious Italian feast. Does it get any better?!
